Silicon Valley Tea Party Patriots

Have You Ever Wanted to Be a Part of Getting an Initiative on The California Election Ballot?

Sunday, December 13, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Here’s your chance to help stop the Unions and their political machine by taking part in the “Citizens Power Initiative” Campaign!

The California statewide Tea Party Patriots have petitioned an initiative titled “Citizens Power Initiative” to amend the California constitution. This initiative will make it illegal to use public employee wage deductions to fund political activities.

When this initiative passes:

  • Public Employee Unions will not be allowed to use any portion of workers’ paychecks (funds that are collected by the government) for political activities. This would remove hundreds of millions of dollars from the corrupt Political Machine that dominates California politics and level the playing field for all groups and citizens.
  • Public employees would regain the right to make their own decisions about their political donations, not have the Union Bosses play politics for them.
  • Public Employee Unions and their politician cronies will have to ASK for voluntary political contributions just like everyone else!

We the people of California need to take back the political machine from the Unions and put it back in the hands of the citizens. The Unions control California’s politics thru political contributions taken right out of worker’s wages. The workers don’t even get a say in how the money is spent. That money goes right into contributions to political campaigns –- meaning big payback after the elections. Take a look at your congressional representative, chances are that the top three campaign contributors are Unions. The Unions control the California legislature and are driving our state into bankruptcy.

The “Citizens Power Initiative” will make it illegal for union dues to be used to fund any political business or activity. To get involved now go to http://unplugthepoliticalmachine.org/. Take a look at the problem and solution tabs to learn why this initiative is so important to our state’s and our own livelihood. While you’re there don’t forget to join the community at: http://unplugthepoliticalmachine.ning.com/

The Silicon Valley Tea Party Patriots are dedicated to be a part of the signature drive. We need leaders to commit to getting signatures for Santa Clara County. This is your chance to make history. And the Silicon Valley Tea Party Patriots movement is going to be instrumental in making this happen.

Many of you have been asking what you can do to help — this is your chance to make a direct impact. In order for the initiative to appear on the November 2010 ballot 1.3 million signatures of California registered voters are need. The deadline for signatures is April 15, 2010. We desperately need volunteers to collect signatures for Silicon Valley — our goal is 200,000 signatures.  You can find the petition here and the training video here.

Send an email to svteaparty@gmail.com for info on how to volunteer to be a leader in this campaign.

We need your help to Unplug the Political Machine and put Citizens back in control of California!

Kind regards,

Deanna & Team

On November 8, three groups of tea party organizers began a cross-country tour to raise awareness of the California farmers’ water crisis, which is a classic case of big government disrupting the lives of its citizens. But rather than merely protest proposed legislation, these tea partiers intend to raise money for the victims suffering from overbearing regulation… more

State of California to Take Additional
10% Tax Out of Paycheck

Paycheck Income Tax Withholding Increases 10%
In November and December, due to Budget Deal last May

SACRAMENTO — Just in time for the holidays, the State of California
will once again dip into the wallets of taxpayers in California.

As part of the budget deal negotiated last May, Californians will
see an additional 10% in income tax withheld from their paychecks in
November and December.

“This is a real ‘bah humbug’ to California taxpayers, who are
already overburdened this year,” said Jon Coupal, President of the
Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association. “This is precisely what we
meant when we said the Legislature was kicking the can down the
road. Now, at the height of the recession and with the highest
unemployment rate in history, the state will gladly pick the pocket
of millions of taxpayers this holiday season.”

The change is due to the legislation (ABX4-17) passed by the
Legislature and signed by the Governor to accelerate tax collection
due to the State budget crisis. The “income shifting and tax
acceleration provisions” require employers to increase by 10% the
amount of income taxes withheld, based upon an employee’s current
withholding designation.

“The Legislature pretends this isn’t a ‘tax increase’ since it
occurs six months later and it comes out of your paycheck in the
dark of night,” said Coupal. “But to the millions who are struggling
to keep their jobs and put food on the table, this smells like a
tax, acts like a tax, and looks like a tax. It’s a tax.”

If You Think We Went Unnoticed—Think again

Tuesday, September 15, 2009 · 1 Comment

It was great to see everyone on Sunday 9/13!

Thank you all for coming out—this is only the beginning—our quest to defeat ObamaCare is more heightened now than ever.

If you think we went unnoticed by our Silicon Valley politicians, think again.

Here’s what Congressman Mike Honda had to say about us in a Politico article on 9/14  titled: Democrats see race factor for Barack Obama foes

Rep. Mike Honda (D-Calif.), chairman of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus, agreed with his colleague that elements of the opposition can’t accept the reality of a black president.

“There’s a very angry, small group of folks that just didn’t like the fact that Barack Obama won the presidency,” Honda said, adding: “With some, I think it is [about race].”

Do you agree?

Call his office and let him know.

He also said during his town hall on Sunday that American’s who disagree with government run healthcare are morally inept.  You might want to weigh in on that comment as well.

Let’s Get it Done—Tea Party Style!

Wednesday, August 26, 2009 · 3 Comments

My Barack Obama—aka OFA—aka The DNC is planning “Let’s get it Done!” send off parties for our members of Congress encouraging them to pass ObamaCare.  How nice.

What a great idea. Let’s join the party and tell them No Way!

To find a send off party at your Representatives office enter your zip here.  There are already hundreds of OFA (Organizing for America) ObamaCare supporters who’ve entered an RSVP to give send off parties to their Silicon Valley Congressional Representatives.  Most of the ‘send-offs’ are scheduled for September 1st and 2nd.

We need protest leaders for each Congressional office, if you’re interested in leading the protest for your Representative let us know.

Sound like fun? Sure does, so let’s get it done.  Tea Party Style.
