Ken, Thanks for your post. Good ideas. We use our Facebook group as a place for folks to meet and exchange ideas with like minded people. There is a link to join on the left hand side of the site and in the sign up tab, make sure to join the group and post often to build your network. I did have a "Bookshelf" tab but it wasn't widely viewed. I'll see about reinstating it.

I'm glad the April 15th event was so successful and that the movement is growing. Let's keep the momentum going!

It would be nice if there were an area on this website where people could coordinate meetings to exchange ideas, discuss issues and organize activities.

A "Recommended Reading" list of books would also be nice. We can create ad links to Amazon and maybe make a little money to pay for expenses.

I recommend everyone read The Five Thousand Year Leap for starters. If you are interested in what the Founding Fathers' original intent was when writing the US Constitution, this will tell you in a concise, clear, easy to read manor. You will not believe how far of course we have strayed!

The only remnant of power the tax payer has is the power of the dollar they control. Its time for everyone to review their tax with-holdings and make sure you are not loaning this corrupt administration one single dime. Hit them in the pocket book and hit them hard.

Simple first step is by adjusting your income tax with-holdings properly to minimize your refund. By getting that refund you are essentially giving this corrupt administration a free loan. In 2007 the IRS paid out 246 Billion in refunds. How much of that was yours and how much of your refund was used to sponsor ACORN? Cut off that free cash and they will have to make moves to cover in some other unpopular way.

If one was looking for a display of civil disobedience then one might consider taking their deductions on their paycheck to the highest possible dependents IE: Married and 12+. A person would get hit with a fine for under withholding but denying them the cash for a year and paying out over time would slow the amount of cash they have for at least a couple of years and if done by enough people could be decisive.

Since for the most part the people who pay taxes are the ones most disturbed by this Marxist power grab then it makes since we are the ones to deny them the tax revenue they crave for their redistribution schemes.

Hold off on making any major purchases for a year or so, decrease the revenue they get from with-holdings by decreasing the amount they get out of each of your paychecks, ensure your are maximizing your deductions, and try to forgo any activity that generates tax revenue.

Converting dollars to physical assets and giving up that 1% interest rate a savings account may accrue generating taxable "unearned income" or what ever it takes to Choke the Beast Out.

The economy may stall but we have far more to be concerned about than that. A Marxist power grab that will make our children slaves to the government is far worse than you and I missing out on a little interest on our cash.

The Original Tea Party was over taxes, now lets have a Tax-Free party and see how the money spenders in Washington like these apples.

I was told last summer by a friend that my congressional representative, Zoe Lofgren (D) would have a Town Hall meeting in Almaden Valley. I called her San Jose office to confirm and one of her staff asked my point of view about health care. When I said I was opposed she continued on to say there were no Town Hall meetings scheduled. The next week a friend said she showed up at the Almaden event but left within about 10 minutes because people started shouting at her. Her staff member lied to me, how can I trust her? Now I see she voted for Obama Care.

I went to both Tea Parties last year in San Jose and met wonderful everyday folks at both of them. I met people of all races and party affiliations. Very cool. Hope to see everyone in the park on April 15th. This is not over! The next two elections will determine whether the Republic will survive or sink into a Marxist state. Please watch Glenn Beck on Fox. His statements are easy to confirm. Watching Anita Dunn on YouTube say she refers to Mao Tse Tung as her inspiration will make the hair stand up on your back. (Anita Dunn - former communications czar to President Obama). We have to fight back to make our country survive. God Bless the USA!

I wrote letters to Feinstein and Eshoo to educate them on the financial and moral reasons NOT to vote in favor of the Bankster bailouts. I wrote each one of them twice, and received essentially identical form letter replies in each case. Before that, I wrote in Ron Paul during the Presidential election.

Like many, I have become accustomed to the lack of real representation, but my apathy is GONE. When the same power-drunk Washington government immediately went off on a new scam (Obamacare, Reid and Pelosicare, whatever...), we finally woke up.

Now Republican and Democrat parties both had better open their ears. People are finding their voices and their power, and the fact is we have the numbers. For George Bush and the Republican controlled Congress to have run up the debt as they did, causing Republicans to abandon ship, then for Obama's own Janet Napolitano to have said Ron Paul supporters were essentially latent terrorists needing to be monitored, for Anita Dunn to have said her favorite political philosopher was Mao Tse Tung, for Eric Holder to have made the brilliant decision to apply our expensive and hard-fought constitutional rights to a foreign citizen that admitted he attacked our country, and for the countless other offenses against us, every political office holder now gets to witness an American tsunami. Scott Brown is a start, but there's a LOT more to do.

God Bless the USA, our brilliant constitution, and all the patriots that hold them near and dear.

Honda seems to focus on the minorities. He is part of the Asian Pacific committees. He seems to parrot the administration and wants to share the wealth similar to Obama. You wonder why so many in Silicon Valley have voted for him. Was it his father, or the successful tech people feel 'guilty' about the wealth they have and have created?

It seems that deaf ears have taken over government (local, state and federal) and unless groups form, nothing will change.

Our local paper, The Gilroy Dispatch wrote an article on the then recently passed health care bill in the Congress. The article had several statements from Honda on how wonderful the bill was and basically the whole article leaned in favor of the bill except for a couple sentences from my husband. A Dispatch reporter had called my husband with questions for the article after she learned we had recently attended a tea party event.
We were very unhappy with how the article was written, so I wrote an "Opinion to the Editor" in opposition to Honda's Congressional health care bill.
I must have struck a nerve with Honda because he answered my Opinion article with one of his own saying, "he was compelled to respond to correct the most egregious of the factual distortions........." (Dec. 17)
I have written Honda, Boxer and Feinstein so many times I have lost count and all I get is form letters. This time I got a real response even though it was Honda's standard retoric.
Do you think it would do some good to get more real facts out there by writing more "opinions" to our local newspapers? Maybe we can get more real responses from Honda, Boxer and Feinstein.
