President Obama “Welcome Party”—Thursday, October 15, 2009
President Obama will be in San Francisco Thursday, Oct 15th, fundraising for fiscal and socially liberal organizations and their politicians with a reception and dinner at the Westin St. Francis Hotel, San Francisco, CA.
The Pleasanton Tea Party Patriots (PTPP — www.PleasantonTeaParty.com) have organized a “Welcome Rally”. See details below.

The plan is to rally together at noon at Winchester/Stevens Creek and then have everyone drive on over to Mike Honda’s town hall by 3pm, it’s only 5-miles away. If Honda is your congressman, make sure to get to the town hall early—by 2pm so you can get a seat in the auditorium. If everyone drives down to Los Gatos we can line the streets of Lark Ave and Oka Rd to rally together outside of the town hall—before—during— and after. Organizing for Obama and the Obama Democratic Club of Silicon Valley are heavily sponsoring and pushing the Honda Town Hall event and will have a Big presence—rumor has it they will be bussing in protestors. Let Congressman Honda and his minions see that American’s don’t want ObamaCare. It takes less than 10-mins to get to the town hall location—here’s how to get there, MAP. We don’t want all those bussed in protesters to feel lonely do we?

Well we would have liked to have had more people show up. We had about 12 or 13 people total while I was there. For the Meet and Greet, it was just Kelly and his family and me. There was an early rush of cars for about an hour when the festival opened and then it slowed down for a while then it got busy again in the afternoon and traffic was still very heavy at 2 PM when Kelly, Jac, and I left because we were exhausted. A couple from San Jose joined us early and then a couple of guys from Morgan Hill joined us. The couple from San Jose left and then another couple from Watsonville arrived. We had 3 of the 4 corners of the intersection covered at various times. We kind of had a captive audience when traffic was heavy because the police were controller the traffic light manually so that the intersection would not get blocked. We had lots of honks and thumbs up and a few of the opposite. Kelly attempted to send some of his family members to check out the south site by the high school but they couldn’t get there because of streets blocked off for traffic control so we don’t know if there was anyone there or not. Kelly experienced a few cases of people in the stopped traffic asking questions about his sign about Obamacare, compassion of the IRS, efficiency of the DMV and he was able to explain it to the people asking much to their surprise to hear the truth. We’ll be back tomorrow. Please come on by to help us for a while.

I got a Handout at the Boxer Rally on Steven Creek Blvd about a Mike Honda Rally at the Prune Yard Shopping Center ( corner of Union Ave and Campbell Ave ) on Aug 25 at 6:00 PM.
Is the Honda Rally still planned?
Yes the Honda event is still on. There is pent up demand for this protest… I expect at least 200 to 300 people. Honda did change his “tele – Town Hall” to 8/1, but this event will still make an impact to those that work in his 8th floor office and more importantly to the Honda voters driving home from work at the busy intersection of Bascom Ave.and Campbell Ave. PLEASE SHOW UP and bring your friends!
